Freeze leftover pasta sauce
When I make dinner, I tend to use only half a jar of pasta sauce. The other half sits in the fridge in the hopes that I will use it before the five day shelf life expires, which I never do. I decided to stop wasting the sauce and poured it into a gallon ziploc bag to freeze it. When I'm ready to use it, I will simply put hot tap water into a large bowl and place the sealed ziploc bag in until the sauce begins to thaw. Then I'll squeeze the sauce out of the bag and into a saucepan to heat and eat!

Felt Owl Pin
So mini cacti stole my heart and now apparently mini owls have! Here's another felt owl, but this one is attached to a pin. I figure it will be a cute way to dress up a plain white tank this summer. I used the same template as before, just shrunk it down before printing it.

I wanted to do something more with my photography, and decided to also make it available as greeting cards. Cards are white folded cardstock and come with matching envelope. Pictures are mounted using acid free rubber cement. Cards are shipped in individual plastic protective sleeves.
I also made some flat cards that are blank on the back and come with a matching envelope.

Mini Cactus Garden
So I told you that I love mini cacti and now I think I am hooked!
Found this beautiful purple mosaic vase at Hobby Lobby! Filled it with some potting soil, added the cacti, and had these marbles already at home to add a little more sparkle. Once planted, I added three ice cubes to allow the cacti to be slowly watered. Now it sits next to my bed!

Mini Cactus Garden Magnets
I LOVE miniature cacti. Every time I go to Home Depot, I stop and look at them. I wanted to find a cute way to have some at home. I got the idea of putting them into small containers and using a magnetic clip to hang them onto the fridge. Very easy and cheap to do!
These cacti are very easy to care for. Just plant them in their soil and add a little bit of planting soil. Water once a week by placing a small ice cube into the planter and letting it melt. I would also take them off the fridge once a week and placing them near a window to give them some sun.
My friend had the idea that you could even use a soup can as a planter. That would be a great way to recycle those cans!

Trick for hanging picture frames
When wall picture frames have double hangers, it can cause headache! Trying to perfectly measure between the two holes so that the picture will hang evenly, can cause even the most patient person to get frustrated. Here's a trick!
Cut a strip of painter's tape so that one end is straight. Place that end on the first hanger and then cut the other end where the second hanger is. Make sure the tape is sitting in the middle of the hanger, where you want the nail to be.
Then take off the tape and place it on the wall where you want the frame to hang.
Use a level to make sure it is straight and then simply place the nails on each end for a perfectly hung picture every time!

3 opening picture frame for quotes
Recently my paternal grandparents passed away. I was thinking of how fast the time has gone, but how many memories my family will always have of them. I was googling different quotes and came across this latin one: Tempus fugit, non autem memoria, which translated, means: "time flies, but not memory." I thought this was perfect, so I began to think of ways to display it.
I came up with this:
3 opening picture frame with different scrapbook papers cut to fit the openings. The print is just printed on heavy cardstock, using a laser printer to avoid smears.
